Oh yes that was very different. In MoM it actually worked because of the actual emotional connection of Wanda and her sons and suffering (and Oslen's performance), while in WW84 it just fell flat. I meant they were the same in "concept" but nobody dragged MoM.

I don't care much for the DCEU, but yeah I did like Gadot as WW and Cavill as Superman (though Gadot can be a bit stale in her acting, and Cavill too). 

 

With all of the flops they've had recently, I agree that a complete overhaul is necessary.

Just an FYI, it hasn’t been completely axed. Patty submitted a treatment that they opted to not move forward on. She apparently has another opportunity to submit something better. Source. I ready on another site that the ‘treatment’ she turned in was far from acceptable but idk how true that is. I do know that multiple threads have failed to mention that the movie isn’t completely dead and Jenkins’s inability to create any sort of decent treatment is the primary issue preventing the project from moving forward.

Who was shading xena? We love Xena. My point is, Wonder Woman is a global pop culture icon with 81 years of history. But since 2011. DC and WB have tried to get rid off  many of her unique elements, nerfed her powers, and gave her a generic warrior woman look with a sword and a shield, like countless others out there. Ignoring unique gear like the bracelets and lasso, that barely get relevant moments nowadays. Turning her into a messy combination of xena, kratos-hercules with bobs. Trying to ignore most of her feminism, queer and sisterhood concepts(elements that are present in Xena's lore too), to make her more friendly for straight white dudes with fragil egos. Basically, a diet version of Xena with super human stats. That is the point. And based on what i heard. It is a miracle that Jenkins walked away from WW3. Because there are articles saying the studio saw the script, and found similar problems to what ww84 had. Which wouldn't be shocking to see, since she decided to unite with geoff again for ww3, even after the mess of 84, and the crummy trackrecord that the guy also has when writing the character in the comics. So if true, i am glad that jenkins walked away when they askerd her to do re works to the script. Diana can do much better than what the current comics and the DCEU have been doing with the character and lore.
