Wonder Woman 3 hasn’t been officially cancelled. Patty allegedly gave them a treatment that they did not find acceptable or feasible at this time. They did not say that they were not interested in a third Wonder Woman movie.

HBO's brand is worth more than paying Google to show their streaming service as a top result when people search "Max". 

 

Ideally they could both coexist but they've been running it to the ground so it's best they leave the HBO name out of it.

i don't think they are recasting or anything like that. They are just not moving foward with the script they had for WW3 so they start fresh with a story that fits in the new story they want to tell. 

 

Why would you greenlight a movie that won't fit with your new plans. You just cancel it and start from zero.

I actually like Gal, but yeah WW84 was SUCH an underwhelming film. And we have only Patty Jenkins to blame, she got rid of the screenwriters of the first film and she convinced WB that she knew what she was doing. It was really bad. Good to know that they said no to her script (and she had the nerve to keep working with Johns). It was a very promising franchise but as always DC/WB fumbled it.

 

WW84 really killed (or at the very least) damaged Jenkin and Gadot's careers. Their Cleopatra film? CANCELLED. The Star Wars movie? CANCELLED.

 

It'd be great to have a WW3 with a competent director but at this point I prefer for them to get rid of everything. And also, stop trying to create a shared universe. You can still have crossovers films without having everything tying together. DC characters are very unique and different in tone.

 

I don't understand how studios give this much power and control to directors. They end up ruining everything. Same thing happened with Waititi and Thor.

LMAO, Henry is an idiot. I am sure The Rock and/or WB promised him a future as Superman so he would film these little cameos, just for them to finally realize this whole universe is a mess and unfixable and they need to cancel everything.

 

He left The Witcher and for what? Now those Marvel talks will lead to nothing cause I am sure that's a door closed now.

 

He better be calling Netflix for that Sherlock Holmes spin-off movie.
