Gwen really ate selena up on this, the wrong version was released but at least we got the better one in the end.

Several lines were tweaked. Not saying this is inaccurate but there were small changes.

Both versions are fine but Selena definitely did it better. At the end of the day they both had significant others that they could relate the song to (Gavin, Justin) so it would have worked either way. 

I've never been a fan of Selena's THWWIW but felt like the song has potential. But now hearing Gwen's is just amazing

Originally called 'Give You Up', it was recorded and intended for Selena in 2013 after Stars Dance but then scrapped and passed around to other artists in late 2013. It was then taken back and finished in February 2014 to be released in November 2014 for the AMA's and to break her Hollywood Records contract as her final album and eventually signed with Interscope Records.

Wow this is good 

Gwen’s voice adds so much more depth to the song. Selena’s songs have always hit the notes, but her voice and tone has never shown any emotional depth to it

It's one of the few songs I love by Selena but damn,  Gwens version puts it to shame... and this is coming from someone that's not crazy about Gwen! So ******* good! 

 

and why the F is Gwen fishing for the same kind of music Selena's fishing for? Like Gwen, are you OK girl?

I like Selena's version a lot more, the production works well with her soft voice. You know she has a good marketing team when a lot of people believe she's the one writing those personal songs.

Love the production on Gwen’s, it elevated the song so much more. Vocally she did great although it’s hard not to compare to Selena’s. Gwen has the better vocals but Selena was able to emote more.

 

I do think Gwen could have made the song a hit too.

gwen version has like zero emotion wtf, selena did it way better 

 

as miss kelly clarkson says its not about being the higher singer...
