I heard about this existing years ago from a very reputable insider, and there is now a snippet out there in the wild.

is it a selena demo or what?

Pretty sure Gwen recorded it for herself first. She alluded to a song being taken from her and given to Selena in a Howard Stern interview years ago.

Yikes the fact that her and selena are sharing demos is kind of sad (for her).  like gwen should be recording a different tier of songs.

:rip: I remember her talking about a song she had that was taken back from the songwriters and given to another artist because they would make it a hit

Well Charli XCX wrote for Gwen years ago so I think Gwen is open to using lesser known / established artists.

Gwen was gonna have a whole alum written for her but scrapped it because she couldn’t connect to songs she didn’t write.

can't find it but that's a shame, she'd have sounded amazing on it, i'm sure .. tho sahlina def made it a hit

Well that seems really unethical to take the song back after Gwen wanted it :deadbanana2:

She would’ve sounded bad on this. The real crime is her scrapping those XCX songs

Nope the way I can picture her voice on the song and make it better than the Selena's one which is already good! But yeah that XCX songs were good tho so sad that she’s so good at scrapping and then come with a bad material

Wait, I thought Selena wrote that song? mess.

Anyhow, Gwen is so much much better than this so perhaps she dodged a bullet. That song is very mediocre.

yeahhhhh Gwen's version is pretty much identical so this is...interesting lol.

Intresting to hear that take.

Hopefully it will come out in full HQ to better judge.

selena also wrote Rare, a song she based her whole album and beauty company around. and yet...

well… all I remember is her writing the song about Justin, or that’s what they said.

Gwen scrapped the album so it’s probably best that it went to Selena.
