2022 US Song Streams:

 

#37 Happier Than Ever — 240,638,000 [#11 Hot 100 peak]

#38 good 4 u — 239,605,000 [#1 Hot 100 peak]

#39 Easy On Me — 239,570,000 [#1 Hot 100 peak]

 

Thoughts? How on earth did this "flop" #11 single outstream massive #1 hits from the same year?

 

I like Happier Than Ever more than the other songs, but don't the other songs have a much higher overall play count?

 

HTE was also a TikTok hit in 2022 which would help it be streamed more this year

 

The other songs are still far bigger for sure.

HTE has more streams than EOM both US and WW  G4U retains its lead over HTE though.

No shade to Billie tho. HTE is a great song and def a hit for her. But it isn't bigger than EOM.

Can't use the local card when HTE has been outdoing both songs daily on GLOBAL spotify for months now.   And that's not even adding the edit which is still doing a respectable amount daily as well. 

 

OT: No shade to either of these artists but Billie has always been about numbers in the long run rather vs initial numbers, which is exactly why her song from 2017 is outdoing some #1 hits from this year.

It's still not going to outstream both songs even if you give it 10 yrs with that little gap

I didn't know there was an edited version, calm down girl. And no, +500M streams on youtube is not irrelevant 

But okay, even combining the radio edit version with the original, HTE was released in july of 2021 and most of its streams came from 2021 so no, it didn't outstream EOM this year

Happier Than Ever is that song!!

 

Maybe because she did a Global tour this year + the big festivals like Coachella & Glastonbury 

 

In my opinion this days touring are good promo & festivals are like the new Award shows (since all awards ratings keep sinking)
