Why are yall mad that fans of an artist are celebrating their faves success? Jealousy is a disease 

 

 

OT: Insanity my gosh. Like that other user said her pure sales are quite impressive especially for the older albums cuz its mostly fans that still buy music. And it's crazy that theres so many fans out there still purchasing it years later. Truly shows that her fanbase keeps growing by the day.

Like does she ever run out of fans? The pure sales of those older albums are insanely high.

 

I say this because I don’t know anyone who buys physical copies unless they are hardcore stans.

 

And she gets people every single week.

 

Not saying is fake or anything but I struggle to understand how that makes sense, cause she’s a complete anomaly.

 

 

simply put, her music attracts a wide demographic of fans and she's a singer songwriter first and foremost disguised as a popstar, that's it.

 

when your discography ranges from lady gaga gay ass pop music to ENYA level peaceful cottagecore snoozefests you tend to attract the widest range of consumers, on reddit alone I know Taylor Swift has gone from being lumped with Beyonce as their hatest female artist to becoming the only beloved one they like from the mainstream simply because Folklore, Evermore and RED TV have made them warm up to her. 

 

Folkmore truly did wonders for her appeal to straight men, which was a very tough market for her to crack ever since she shifted to 1989. And we all know straight men and (in general) women are the biggest pure sales demographic.

 

Her image rehabilitation alongside Kanye's spiral has definitely warmed people up to her even further, she's transcended the Katy Perry cookie cutter pop label and is actually 'cool to listen' to now.

You sound like you don't know Swifties at all.  Most of the conversations are about the music like which songs are their favorites, which they hate, which album is the best, what lyrics they like etc.  But it is ok.  We are all wrong sometimes and you choose today.
