Despite being released in 2021, Cold Heart was the 4th biggest song on Billboard Global 200. Hold Me Closer did not make the top 200. It's still on TTH, btw. Are you surprised by this result?

Hold Me Closer is absolutely horrible so not really

HMC was nowhere as big as CH, it just peaked high and fell right after.

Dua is a hitmaker and Britney is not.. not that hard to understand.

None of atrl faves can have dance smashes now (unless something rare happens like an old viral song) they’re females in their late 30s to 40s it just doesn’t work like that, they can get hits but Dua is in her own league

That’s not a good excuse. Unholy was released much later after Hold Me Closer and it managed to chart on the Year End.
 

Plus, it’s not like Hold Me Closer will chart next year on the 2023 Year End anyway. It’s was finished on streaming long ago and is starting to free falling on radio and is not going to survive much longer

Yes, 1999 was the first AND last  time she was ever in the YE Top 10 or 20. 

 

They really went all out with HMC from radio deals, to playlisting pushes, website sales, multiple music videos, etc every trick you could think of in the book. But at the end of the day, you can’t force something the public doesn’t want
