Waka Waka was inescapable during 2010's World Cup in literally any country that football is a large part of local culture, except maybe in the UK. That kind of global reach is unmatched.

I don’t understand why people are saying this wasn’t big in the UK? Literally everyone knows it, it’s a huge classic.

 

Yes, for some reason it didn’t peak that high and was overshadowed by that Wavin Flag song but it got certified 2x platinum today which is huge for a 2010 song that didn’t even peak Top 20, which shows it’s legacy and longevity.
