Yeah Cuff it that is stabilizing at 2.5M daily streams on Spotify and has 1.5M radio update yesterday (now in the top10) is not even a hit. Ok.

bms is trash and the gp are rightfully giving one of the many superior renaissance songs the attention they deserve 

lead single vs album track, not surprising aka worldwide hits 

if alien superstar is next single, song will smash both

Break My Soul was not a hit, it was totally fueled by radio. A #1 with barely 250m streams on Spotify is tragic  . Cuff It is doing better because its success is more organic.

Really interesting because Cuff It is one of the worst songs on the album.

Depends where you are, both songs are top 5 hits in the UK where radio has no impact. Organic sales and streams did that

BMS isnt a hit, its a radio driven song that nobody streams anymore

it will end up with 50k streams in a few months, just like Bey's forgotten hits

OT: Cuff It was a smash the minute it dropped. Alien Superstar would have been big if she didn't abandon the era as soon as the album released.

Also BMS is still such an anthemic song to me. 

Anyway, Renaissance - a masterpiece and the best album of the year - managed to score two cute hits. That's a win. 

 

Monsters are single-handedly keeping Bey's name alive in the base here. On a one sided feud. I guess we love to see it.
