Taylor's career is following Madonna's down to a T (proof inside)

some of you are making album- album comparisons about maturity. You forget Madonna made her first album at like 24-25, Taylor at 16

Madonna made bubblegum pop music until her 30s, and the erotica era came when she was almost 35 (older than taylor now). I don't know why some of her fans always forget this .

Anyway both queens with great pop songs.

Somehow this tries to be worse than that Katy mimicking a Beyonce like career post. It tried, but didn't succeed.

Taylor never flopped and is reaching new heights while Madonna already bombed and was a has-been in the 90s.

Maddona worst selling album was Erotica with 6M

That number is among Taylor best selling albums :skull:

Anyway, Taylor does´t have ANY album with +20M copies sold (pure).

It's not that linear.

Madonna was younger than Taylor when they both released these songs:

Do you really wanna go there?

I'm drinking a soy latte, I get a double shoté
It goes right through my body, and you know I'm satisfied
I drive my Mini Cooper, and I'm feeling super-duper
Yo, they tell I'm a trooper, and you know I'm satisfied
I do yoga and pilates, and the room is full of hotties
So I'm checking out the bodies, and you know I'm satisfied
I'm digging on the isotopes, this metaphysics **** is dope
And if all this can give me hope
, you know I'm satisfied
I got a lawyer and a manager, an agent and a chef
Three nannies, an assistant, and a driver and a jet
A trainer, and a butler, and a bodyguard or five
A gardener and a stylist, do you think I'm satisfied?
I'd like to express my extreme point of view
I'm not a Christian and I'm not a Jew
I'm just living out the American dream
And I just realized that nothing is what it seems

This is worse than anything Taylor has/will ever sung and she was FORTY SIX.

True Blue = Speak Now

nnn these couldn't be further apart. TB is Madonna's commercial peak, where's SN is Taylor's low.

Taylor’s music always screams white privileged to me. As a POC I’ve never connected with her.

madonna on the other hand, while being also white, always seemed more worldly and culture than Taylor “all-American” girl image

The Swifties make me feel like I'm being Jordan Klepper and ATRL was a Trump rally.

The 1980s were as much removed from the alltime sales peak as 2015.

Alltime sales peak: 1999/2000 for the US and 2001/2002 globally.

It's not smart to act as if albums from the 1980s and 70s or whenever had it so much better than today. Music was super expensive also. That means that the teen driven music industry of today would have never been possible and artists needed to have GP support outside the teen community during any point before the advent of Itunes.

i’m sorry and i love Madonna but she has never written a song as lyrically stunning as Mirrorball or as fascinatingly detail-rich as All Too Well or as relatably self-deprecating and witty as Anti-Hero/Blank Space/Champagne Problems, etc.

Taylor’s still in a league of her own in the pop world imo

Sorry but:ahh:

this is sooooo undermining of what madonna has been able to achieve on a creative level. let alone that this comparison literally isnt even true. Lover is Bedtime Story and Erotica is reputation? Wtf are u on about :rip:

The way even Meh! is a more enjoyable listen than that dreary tuneless Madonna song

Taylor does not have a justify my love type of controversial hit. The closest she has come to controversy is …Ready For It :rip:
