If it was a smash movie then the studio would had planned various sequels in the following the movie and not be radio Silent about until years later trying to revive it again 

I get that but I’m still baffled at the marketing and production are the same price tag. That to me makes no sense. I can see a movie made on a 300m price tag having half the cost to produce in marketing costs, but not equal to.

Not surprised. Margot Robbie is box office POISON. Her only hits in the past 5 (FIVE!!! ) years are the Peter Rabbit movies .
