PoisonedIvy Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Taylor owning 1/5th of both lists basically
Rev8 Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Always surprised to see Norah and Limp the later was super hated..but I guess they had the same fanbase as Eminem and Linkin Park (tbh deserved to be on the list) while Norah wasn't a hitmaker and wasnt a starshine like the others on the list, yet it's true that she was still super popular with the GP..but I can imagine her having longevity instead of a huge first peak
brenda-walsh Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 the fact bey would've been on there if she hadn't released ST with only 3 days

GraceRandolph Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 It's great that Taylor can still do this, but why does the gp only buy from such a select group of artists? If Taylor can sell that much then the gp needs to start branching out and buying other albums too.
Ger Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 It always amazes me how Limp Bizkit got to sell so many copies during its first week, that's a huge following back then, damn.

Protocol Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Important to remember 'Midnights' is the highest-selling album in pure sales and SPS that was released simultaneously to streaming, since '25' was not available for streaming at first (which boosted its pure sales). Considering 'Midnights' broke the streaming record for individual listeners, who knows how high it would've gone if it had only been available for purchase. All this to say '25' and 'Midnights' are not actually comparable since they were released in different formats.
LastKiss Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Taylor doing this with 5 different albums is just something else

PopNStuff Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 One of these albums only did it cause it was discounted to 99 cents.
