Bryan Cranston, the Star of Breaking Bad and Father of Malcom in the famous 2000’s Sitcom is set to be a Scriptwriter. Will the classic show become a hit in the streaming age? Will the reboot be successful.

I know this show meant a lot to kids who grew up sort of poor, I remember as a kid crying during the episode where they had to get food donations because I was going through something similar at the time.

I hope they do the show justice!

Leave these classics alone :rip:

I watched every episode after school religiously. A legitimate classic of 2000’s tv Family comedy/sitcom. Still holds up today. But I agree that the industry needs to stop ruining beloved classics for a quick buck. There have been multiple Malcom rip-offs in the mid to late 2000’s that all flopped.

The middle was a good and kinda successful rip off

I loved this show growing up:jonny5:

They gotta stop rebooting everything so often, but hey if it happens I hope it's good and if it's not I'll just ignore it :celestial4:

The OP got me confused ... is it a reboot or a revival?

Nobody wants a reboot, there's been millions of rip off already

Y'all commenting seem sure as hell that's it's reboot based on that (maybe misleading) tweet but that 'Frankie Muniz' quote make it sounds like it might be a revival with the old cast. In that case YES PLEASE ! ?

Considering how busy Bryan Cranston is, it might just be a limited series which is perfect. I'm dying to see what Dewey is up to as a man in his 30s :dies:

I think the reason we get so many reboots and remakes cuz the actors themselves aren’t really doing that much in terms of stable work :rip:

This show was genuinely perfect so I really don’t want them to mess with it but at the same time the fact Bryan wants to write for it intrigues me. Also very much here for gay Reese.

The original is as relevant as ever, I don't see the need. One of the best sitcoms ever

only if they finally give legend Jane Kaczmarek a goddamn Emmy :clap3:

!!!!

the original is flawless and timeless. The cast and their energy will never be captured so perfectly again.

THIS!  I rarely get mad about people going Emmy-less, but her, Jane Krakowski, and Vanessa Williams all having zero Emmys will forever piss me off

Correction. It’s a Revival with some of the original cast returning. Still being written but fans belive it will be in vien if a Hulu exclusive style season
