literally why buy an XBOX when you can buy a gaming PC + a Switch/PS5?

Not gonna lie they served Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Bill’s Wallet when they switched it up to GamePass this generation, there was no way they were coming back to compete in a regular console cycle. I sold my PC last year so picked up an Xbox and the problem is it’s been crickets since Forza. How tf do you go a whole year with no first party output after spending billions from your inheritance  things might change in a couple years but this will probably be their last console and ‘Xbox‘ will just continue as a service that runs on everything

They never built their brand and instead use XBox as an introductory console to Microsoft. Since consumers would rather just get the highest end gaming available (see the Switch Lite, PS5 digital, XBox Series S, etc. doing poorly), it makes sense that Microsoft fans are just buying gaming PCs that are more expensive and have better specs.
