first listen i thought latto part was the best and verse 2 was so awkward, now it's another way around !! not bad semi-rap giving personal juice spiciness to the track. in the end, solo or more latto verse for another 20-30 sec would be chef kiss for this . let's see for promo rollout and radio

lotto added nothing to this. I don't like her flow on this beat. she's rapping on the up beats and doesn't sound right on this song. but hopefully she brings some attention to this because she's doing well right now.

It's out in my country and I have to say she did it again. "Have Mercy", "Treat Me" and "you & me" have been on repeat for me since day 1 and this seems to follow them.

 

Still it would be great to finally have some details and perhaps a release date for the album.

Oh wow, I hate to add to the bubbling Latto hate train but this should've been solo. I'm sure the bridge would've been so goooood omg.

 

I'm genuinely screaming at Beyoncé telling Chlöe to release Surprise instead of this omg, she wanted the BREAK MY SOUL spotlight so bad

Right! They should’ve released “surprise” and this together. Chloe would’ve got her fav out on streaming to attract the folks that did love it. I know atrl likes to hate on it because it didn’t chart or stream well, but folks that weren’t checking for her were really into “surprise”. They didn’t even send the last two tracks to radio so they could’ve been released this. Hopefully this does something now!
