We already discussed this before and ikyk that's a dumb comparison. Rachel and Amanda didn't struggle publicly with addiction and mental health issues since they were teens either now did they?

 

We can be happy and support all of these talented legends, including Hallmark queen Lacey Chabert and all around queen Lizzy Caplan who can be seen next starring in the Paramount+ series Fatal Attraction

 not expecting this to stay fresh at ALL but it'd be wonderful if it did, if it stays above 40/50 it's a win considering the type of movie and a lot of critics that wouldn't typically review it are doing it cuz it's "Lindsay's big comeback" but are not the intended audience at all (like I've seen a couple boomers in big publications trashing it already who don't seem to understand why these films even exist) but then again there's also quite a few ppl with a lot of goodwill towards her so it might balance public opinion out. ultimately I don't think reviews rly matter for this kind of movie anyway, they clearly have their audience who eats them up

 

my personal review is that I thought this was a very pleasant little flick, I don't necessarily love these movies either so I'm not gonna lie, my enjoyment is mostly due to the fact we get to see Lindsay leading a production again but I do watch them when I'm bored so I'd describe it as an elevated Hallmark holiday movie of sorts. I do feel like this was a solid way for her to make her return on screen (certainly better than that D list horror movie she was gonna do in 2020 before covid happened). she showed up, she's present and still charismatic enough to pull it off. let's hope it leads to different more interesting roles after this Netflix rom-com deal ends so she can flex her acting muscles

In this case, a more objective assessment will be on Metacriticism, which considers the most, say, well-known and recognized publications.

 

The film can be said to be NORMAL.

It is purely to declare itself, to remind about Lindsay to different audiences.

And he does a great job with this role.
