Got high, sat down with all my snacks, and... turned off the TV, not even halfway through. The script/dialogue was written like from the most inexperienced amateur newbie in Hollywood. I have always been so fascinated by Mr. Shyamalan's premises and ideas, and Knock at the Cabin is no exception, but considering the burns from previous movies... so his problem is execution as a creator and a writer? not as a director then correct lol On 2/7/2023 at 2:36 AM, MadonnasBoyfriend said: This movie was so dumb. If you saw the corny trailer you saw the whole movie. Also saw Emma Roberts movie and Jamie Lee Curtis movie this weekend at the movies and yea cabin was by far the worst stinker ever. The girl is adorable and the gays were cute tho. emma roberts and jamie lee curitis got a movie together?? link On 2/7/2023 at 12:58 PM, Smarticle said: Old didn't even have a proper Shyamalan twist tbh. Judging from the comments in here this will be a cute watch online at 2x speed what were y'all expecting the twist to be in old? are expecting to unfoild in that movie?

Uncatena Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 9 hours ago, SchmoodRing said: what was the book ending? in the book Wren, the little daughter is the one who is sacrificed but it was through an accidental shooting. The husbands survive and it's left ambiguous if the world was ever at stake at all. In the film the husband volunteers as the sacrifice and the other one and the daughter survive and the apocalypse is not left ambiguous. They basically do save the world through "love" or whatever.
popmusicisdead Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 shouldn't never been released in cinemas in the first place. it was giving straight to Hallmark

They have like a 17 day window or something before putting films on VOD. Even m3gan got the same treatment despite performing quite well theatrically. At least the film will stay in theaters, but this model seems to work well for Universal cause they've been doing this with like all of their releases recently.
Kylizzle Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 This movie was so terrible. It had no plot besides "YOU NEED TO MAKE A CHOICE" The visual effects are some of the worst ever. The fire at the end

Mr. Loco Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 I don't get all the hate for this film, I really loved the gay couple, I watched it with my boyfriend and we got so reflected into those characters, and I really felt the tension of everything that was hapenning. The ending was not a plot twist, but it felt powerful. For me it was a really great film.
LittleStarmen Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 this was amateur... The bad effects... The footage of the news giving drag race challenge acting... the lifetime script
killer_rose Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 It was promising but the ending was so anticlimatic. They should have gone balls deep with the apocalypse.

There was zero tension, no build-up. It was obvious how the movie was going to end early on. It would have been more impactful if they didn't go through with the sacrifice and let the world end.
