Yeah the 4b number is obviously false and inflated. Less than 2 billion households in the world even own a TV, so even if all of them watched it that's over 2 billion more people that apparently went to some sort of public viewing? It makes no sense. 

 

That tweet isn't an official source but it's based on the BARB estimate. BBC reported the same data though said it was slightly higher than 26-27 million.
