Y'all better go out and watch it so that it doesn't flop :biblio:

The trailer looked so tacky and obnoxious, I’m surprised the reviews have been so positive

The trailer doesn’t look great (altho the joke about the Office gif was funny). I’ll give it a go though just so we can have more fun gay content.

Maybe they are afraid to drag it and look homophobic, or maybe it is actually good...

I haven’t seen any trailers or clips but I really hope there is some good representation here… even if not with the main characters.

I am desperate for more mainstream GOOD queer stories played by queer people - but it seems whenever we get one that’s a hit with the gp it’s either a great story about a football masc gay that has an easy time hiding in the closet or an awful story about a sissy gay being bullied and abused. :coffee2:

Can we please get a HIT queer character that’s living their best life even though they are not able to easily hide their identity and still has support all around them? Where is MY gay love story???

Don't like Billy so I doubt I'll like this but props for the casting. TS Madison, Guillermo Diaz, Dot, Bowen. Hollywood typically casts straight when they do gay movies but this really represents our community. Cool!

Luke is kinda hot :gaycat2:

Of course they had to get the best Drag Race winner of all time to be in this historic movie

This! Coming out is such a milestone, but being gay is so much more beyond that. I'm kinda fed up with all the coming out stories. Please we need stories about gay people living their openly gay lives.

YES :clap3:exactly.

It’s so easy too. Like just take any movie that already exists and make the character gay. It can have the exact same storyline and everything, just make them gay. Gay people go to the store and bump their toe and go on vacation etc, like it’s really not hard to write a story about anything other than the struggle of coming to terms with your identity etc.

“But why do they have to be gay if the story doesn’t have anything to do with that? Why does it have to appease the snowflakes??” - sis why is any character in any movie straight??? If the movie has nothing of note to do with their sexual interests then it doesn’t matter if they are gay or straight. But people in the world are queer whether it’s relevant to the conversation you’re having about lost artifacts or volcanoes or what to have for dinner. They just exist and that’s the point :deadbanana4:

Saw this at the TIFF premiere and it was FANTASTIC! Hilarious throughout. Promise

That trailer looks atrocious, as a gay, I'm offended :rip: this is gonna tank hard and homophobia ain't gonna be the main reason, I fear

I had no interest in this but then Mariah promoted it and attended the premiere, so now I'll be there opening weekend! :gayriahcat2:

Can’t wait to see it!!

Billy Eichner is *almost* as annoying as James Corden at this point, so we won't be watching

Y’all will let any gay film flop if it doesn’t meet your hyper specific criteria. This is why it’s so hard to get gay media to succeed.

I honestly don’t care to watch it, but I’m gonna buy a ticket probably just to do it
