i mean, the source for house of the dragon's streaming numbers is 'hbo says' and no one's yelling about those

Amazon is evil. HBO isn't.

I'm not shading the show, but would Amazon lie?

Not that they would lie but it's not as impressive as it seems. It's a huge franchise and on a platform like Amazon Prime that you get by default by just having a prime membership (so millions have it without even necessarily going out of their way to get it).

It launched simultaneously in 240 countries and debuted with 25M viewers (According to Amazon). It's really not some huge achievement.

25m? But people acting like it's a major colossal flop?

Great numbers, no way around it. I was very happy with the first 2 episodes.

It's so funny how nowadays everything boils do to rivalry turns into a competition... like what is this LOTR x HOTD nonsense? :deadbanana4:

Anyways, I hope this is as good as the movies! Need to finish Sandman first before hoping into this though

25M is absolutely massive and yet there are people in here saying it's underwhelming? :lmao:

I mean it was spammed to death by Amazon - I kept getting an unskippable, animated pop up ad every time I opened the Amazon app. My deliveries also had the tape on the boxes plastered with it.

Good numbers though, not my thing but glad y’all are enjoying it.
