While I agree, I feel like evolving into a musical for the sequel somehow fits this film more than it does the Joker… it’s still a weird segue for the joker in my opinion. I don’t think much of the target audience of the joker overlaps with musical fans (though as a gay I am someone who falls in the overlap ).
 

It feels like they got Gaga and thought “hey ASIB was a slay and made coin!!! Let’s make her SING”, which isn’t a bad idea but just seems out of place (plus she already carried Gucci without singing anyways so it’s unneeded)
