Dula Peep Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Why do I feel like its mostly Marvel fans circlejerking around the demise of WarnerBros

Archetype Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 The straight to streaming formula has backfired it seems, that and the massive flops they've funded.
Oxy Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 (edited) This source is bull sht, they have Shazam in December too, they also released The Batman, Elvis and Fantastic beasts this year. Creed 3, Barbie, and the Flash are slated for early 2023. It’s just reconstruction phase. Edited August 25, 2022 by Oxy
Hephaestus Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Oh so that’s why they cancelled all that stuff

If you notice it’s only DC properties that get the delays, cause of how they want the universe to be a cohesive plan. But the amount of movies slated for next year are stellar titles. WB has to bleed with all the cost cutting and money thrown away by the old system.
TheDreamer Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Nolan really dodged the bullet and you all shamed him for that
zaso Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 warner tanking and paramount thriving i didn't see that coming warner definitely had the best collection of films in the 2000s prior to all their superhero crap, they should just go back to making mid-budget original films. enough with the superheroes

Musicmajor Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 As long as they leave Westworld & House of the Dragon alone.
livelikemusic Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 That's what you get when you merge companies.

They have been chasing Marvel for way too long and failing because they can’t plan for sh*t. If they MUST pile on the superhero films, just go back to all standalone titles and make them good (The Batman as an example). But as you said, the better option is originals with way smaller budgets. Do those for a while and recoup losses on moderate hits instead of funding these big budget flops.
