I fear you’re right and I hate it. Ellie & Bill’s banter was a highlight of the first game for me.

Plus I want the scene of her reading the magazines in the car :toofunny3:

I was wrong. The changes were phenomenal and so well-done.

One of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen. Emmy's should be won off this alone.

great episode. although i prefer how Bill and Frank ended up in the game :fan:.

also they need to stop using On The Nature of Daylight for everything :dies:

So I was right about Ellie and Joel not meeting Bill and Frank. Great episode, just as strong as its game counter part.

I did not expect to weep this much watching a show like The Last of Us :weeps:

The acting was incredible, the score was amazing, and some of the dialogue was so poetic.

WTF WAS THAT EPISODE?!!!!

I mean that in a good way obviously. It was so good! I felt like the world stood still for that entire hour.  :weeps:

okay now that I’m done sobbing I’m remembering some of the stuff earlier in the episode

Spoiler

It’s crazy to me how something as simple as forgetting the pancake mix or turning down biscuits & cookies from the neighbors saved Joel and Sarah from the initial infection. The way they connected that with the flashback to Indonesia in the previous episode was so good because it’s easy to forget with the more intense events later in both.

I need to catch up on the companion podcast too, but it’s so late rn

I really didn't expect to cry during this episode but they got me. Jesus what an excellent performance from both actors.
