The clarinet reminds me of a deep dark woodsy sound (compared to the light flute), and the dancey gabber sound reminds me of the high energy sounds produced by the mushrooms. I wonder if that's an influence? Given that Utopia was an exploration of re-entering the world of courting through a long form metaphor of birds and mating calls, I don't think it's unrealistic to say her album reflecting on a solitary but silently high energy time would use a similar metaphor.
