Maybe it was always meant to be a limited series? I can't see this dragging out as much as the original did. It could also become an anthology series. Who knows, but I guess I will see this out.

Honestly, it probably just wasn’t doing that well enough to justify investing in a second season. The Discovery+ merger seems to be less ridiculous than intimate reports and while believe they will be cancelling some HBO Max exclusives, I think the ones that actually do well will just be put on HBO or moved.

well the finale of the season is next week, it doesn't imply that it's cancelled

but I also think there won't be 2nd season so the better not end it with a cliffhanger like they did with PLL: The Perfectionists

Not true, PLL:OS has been the #1 show on HBO MAX by a LARGE margin since it was released, with the OG PLL being their #4 or #3 for months before.

 

 

The show is doing numbers so I would take this with a grain of salt.
