Sarah Michelle Gellar will star in & executive produce 'Wolf Pack' with Jeff Davis, an offshoot Teen Wolf series. 
She will play an arson investigator, Kristin Ramsey, described as "a highly regarded expert in her field and no stranger to personal loss, brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire which may have also led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorizing Los Angeles."

 

Filming is underway in Atlanta to premiere later this year. Cast includes Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson, and Tyler Lawrence Gray.

the article even points out: "SMG in recent years has been attached to two Fox projects — Sometimes I Lie (which was based on the novel of the same name by Alice Feeney), and the dramedy Other People’s Houses — both of which stalled, as well as the similarly scuttled Prime Video pilot, Hot Pink."

It’s for Paramount+ so I don’t think it’s the same.  Good for her.

She made a guest appearance at the Teen Wolf SDCC panel today in Hall H to make the announcement with Jeff Davis, who said they've already been filming in Atlanta. We'll get at least one season and I'm hoping it hits as well as Teen Wolf did.

I also found out that she was cast in Clerks 3 but it’s probably a cameo ??‍♂️

Still I’m glad she’s getting back out there, hope she starts acting more regularly!

She’s not the best actress in the world that’s for sure, but there’s so many sh*tty shows out there, specially with streaming, that I just don’t understand how she can’t even get a proper role  fingers crossed for this one!

That's promising at least  Every year I always look forward to the upfronts in hopes that she has a new gig lol. I never saw Teen Wolf, but the premise of this seems... idk? It sounds to me like she's a secondary character, but it also mentions "star". Idk, I'm excited anyways and will take what I can get.

Love SMG! But y’all need to stop comparing her acting now to her work from 2 decades ago. She definitely is an amazing actor, but her agent needs to give her better content and shows. Who is watching Teen wolf shows in 2022? lol

I would love to have her in something like Big Little Lies but I’m afraid she left her acting chops in the 90s
