  • 4 weeks later...

Beyoncé, Silk Sonic, Harry Styles, Lizzo, Adele, & Kendrick Lamar will carry the nominations.

Beyoncé will most likely be the most nominated act. She can get into the R&B, Pop, Dance, & GF Fields

Adele could another sweep based on her history.

Encanto soundtrack could possibly pull 6 Nominations (4 nominations for Bruno & 2 for the soundtrack album)

Adele's streak is definitely breaking this year. She wouldn't mind it though, as long as they give it to Beyoncé.

Lol @ people underestimating Harry again. Servers were weak when he “wasn’t supposed to” win Pop Solo. Now that the committee can’t keep him away from the general field, he will be nominated for AOTY, ROTY and SOTY. I think he’ll potentially win Pop Vocal Album, Music Video and ROTY.

Beyoncé deserves AOTY, but I fear Silk Sonic will take it. I’m rooting for Beyoncé to finally get her flowers. I’m not sure how well she’d do in the Pop categories, but maybe she could snag Pop Solo.

With Beyoncé likely to not submit to R&B, this gives a lot of artists a chance to finally win, who would’ve lost to her easily. So I’m rooting for everybody Black and excellent. Please don’t let it be John Legend or HER, though. Can we get some fresh blood?

Kendrick should sweep the rap categories.

Ed and Adele need a break. I know they’re threats, but enough is enough.

Beyoncé already has 985653 Grammy's.

But yeah, Renaissance deserves AOTY

“Cuff It” will most likely be Beyoncé’s R&B Submission along with Be Alive.

Columbia/Parkwood is not gonna miss the opportunity to submit her to R&B. She’ll most likely get in. Even if Beyoncé didn’t submit into R&B…  the other acts would have to face Silk Sonic in those categories and they have a STRONG appeal in R&B. They’re very baity too.

I’m not too sure on Adele losing her perfect streak yet. Anything could happen but it just doesn’t seem likely at the moment. She has her residency coming up during final round voting so that could help her in the end. I see a scenario where Harry can win Pop Album but Adele could prevail with Pop Solo, giving Easy On Me did go #1 for 10 weeks. There has been split winners with Pop Album & Pop Solo recently (up until Olivia earlier this year). Rodrigo also had the best selling pop album & single of the eligibility period.

Good analysis. I’d rather see Beyoncé win in pop categories than R&B, though. Tyler the Creator called it out best when he won Best Rap Album because of melanin and not the sound of his music. Overall, this is her least R&B album since Sasha and I think Beyoncé needs a win in the general field and/or in POP because everything else in R&B has been won.

Pop Solo - Break My Soul

Pop Album - Harry

(AOTY - Renaissance deserves, but will probably be Silk Sonic, tbh.)

I’d rather see that scenario than Ed and Adele splitting. They’ll live without another Pop Solo or Pop Vocal Album win.

I want Break My Soul  to win Pop Solo too! It definitely deserves.

Beyonce should submit like this

RENAISSANCE — AOTY, Best Progressive R&B Album, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical (Best Music Film — If Renaissance is composed as one film)

Break My Soul — Best Pop Solo Perf, ROTY, SOTY, Best Music Video (when released)

Be Alive — BSWFVM, Best R&B Song, & SOTY

Church Girl — Best Melodic Rap Perf

Cuff It — Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song

Make Me Say It Again — Best Traditional R&B Perf.

Move — Best Pop Duo/Group Perf

Pure/Honey — Best Dance/Electronic Recording

SR — Best Dance/Electronic Recording

Renaissance should win AOTY but it could go to Harry as well. Either way both are good options.

Adele and Bruno and Ed have won enough
