QUEEN. I dont know how I missed this thread, but I was freaking out over the trailer release all day yesterday on my Instagram story.
 

Orphan is my all time favourite horror movie. I haven’t stopped screaming about Esther and recommending the first movie to all my friends for the last decade. I just love how savage she was, and the reveal in the last act was so out of left field it left me gagged for months. A true gay sex icon who owns her body and knows her worth. Perioddttt

Saw this in theaters! It’s a lot more campy than the first one so I can understand why some people won’t like it but, personally, I did. The second half definitely delivers.

 

I have to warn you about this weird hazy filter they had going on like in RPDR S1. It made me dizzy at times.

the trailer made it exciting to me idk. i was one of those dragging it when it was announced that they wouldn't use de-aging and just go with the flow that she looks older as ridiculous as that sounded, but i could it see it making sense she's since actually old and maybe not as good as disguising the first time. from the trailer it does seem they've only used camera tricks and body doubles.

Thats a cheap excuse. No one would mistake this esther for a little girl. She looks like a grown woman doing cosplay. They should have used deepfake technology. Attached her face from 2009 to now. This movie is suppose to be a prequel.

That makes me excited again. I expected a fun movie at most, because i didn't think they would be able to recreate the twist of the first one. But now i'm curious.

I liked it. It was definitely campy and I was living for it.

 

Seems like the first half set it up for another prequel tho. Which I don’t mind.
