BeyIridescent Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Lizzo, Latto, Tems and Beyoncé. This happened in 2020 with four black women occupying the top ten: Minaj, Doja, Beyoncé, and Megan. Queen Bey is the common denominator here ??????
Capruni Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 I’m so sad for Kate! She deserved the #1 this week! I’m happy cuz Lizzo will def get that #1 in 2 weeks!
More Than A Melody Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Harry getting 9 weeks at #1 in the US and 10 in the UK was not on my bingo card. I wonder where he'll land in the year end chart.

Green Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Bad Habits surviving another week at #25 after 54 weeks while being out of the top 200 on spotify and apple music We need another album bomb

If so, how are those different from playlists curated by radio DJs that people like myself choose to listen to? And if so, why do I never hear complaints about streaming counting for the charts from the anti-radio crowd? Because on streaming you can choose to play ANY song and skip the ones you don't like (even on TTH)? You seriously don't see how it's different from radio?

Brando Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 I miss when this thread was booked and busy during the Adele/Taylor war. It's been a graveyard for months now
ExHuman Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Billboard is a graveyard only old people still follow it, spotify is more interesting and real.

They don't think the charts need a shake-up and seem to be okay with Bad Habits continuing to chart at #25 every week. We can only hope that Frank Ocean or Rihanna drop an album soon, so maybe we could get Stay of the charts, as well as Heat Waves and Big Energy out of the Top 15.

pride4jc1222 Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 If As It Was gets a 10th week at #1 (and doesn't not stay #1 the next 2 weeks), it will join Easy On Me in reaching double-digit weeks at #1 without ever spending at least 5 consecutive weeks at #1. I don't think that happened prior to Easy On Me (the closest was See You Again, which had two consecutive 6-week runs at #1, interrupted by Bad Blood).
Ger Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 With the way things are looking, ADT seems to top the chart next week.
