Is James Wan the best modern horror filmmaker?

He's the Ed Sheeran of horror directors.

He definitely had impact on the genre with Saw creating the torture porn hype and Insidous the ghost movie hype. THE best tho? I’m not sure about that. His impact however is undeniable.

I think Conjuring is going to be a classic, and Sinister is good too. But he's kind of a one trick pony. His tricks are all very similar.

Yes.. Most of his movies are good..

Not people saying Ari with his overrated artsy fartsy approach

Yes. Malignant alone washes Ari Fadster lmao

i enjoyed malignant a lot for its comedy and absurdity, a balls to the wall horror comedy we don't get a lot of.  but wan's more serious efforts are bland and he clearly just churns them out.

idk I only watched one or two SAW movies with my friends when we were teenagers

I'm not a fan of horror. I find it stupid

Then you shouldn’t have commented on a thread about modern horror filmmakers. Weird behaviour

nnnn spill, I ignored it because whatever but what's the point of entering a thread about something you find stupid :rip:

OT: James Wan delivering masterpieces in three different decades with Saw, The Conjuring and Malignant :clap3:
