Finally watch the movie and its much better than i expected.

The cast is great and Brendan deseve that Oscar, people will judge the fat suit, the make up, the baity role, the sob story... but theres a reason Darren wait for 10 years before making this cause he couldnt find the right actor. Its a hard role.

Sadie Sink is also not as bad as ATRL implied. Actually she held her own against all these much more senior actors. Hong Chau is also giving and deserves the Oscar nom but i dont think she is better than the EEAAO girlies.

I thought it was fine but it wasn't as good as The Wrestler. Brendan was amazing and so heartbreaking, Hong Chau is my supporting actress of the year, Sadie was meh. That ending tho... It legit made me laugh and felt anticlimatic lol

This is such a dumb take.

EEAAO, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie and Hong Chau are all amazing and finally Asian getting the spotlight and you just disrespect all of that and give credit to tokenism rather than admit that these actors did a great job?

So ignorance.

This is Hollywood we’re talking about. The Oscars have been inclusive since “#oscarssowhite”. Every award show since then and the rise of the BLM movement, has been heavy on diversity. Hollywood itself has done a diversity crash course since then. While Michelle and crew did stellar, there is no doubt that tokenism played a huge rolemin EEAAO being the most nominated film this year. The movie just so happened to feature a predominantly Asian cast allowing Hollywood to kill two birds with one stone. In my honest opinion, the film doesn't serve a plethora of nominations.
