Mikeymoonshine Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Omg the movie promotes something that's true? They are telling the kids the truth? How dare they!
argos Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Ok but could anyone actually enlighten me on why there needs to be a scene about periods on a kid’s movie?

I- Imagine not wanting to show something that children go through in a children's movie... People have spoken for years about the fact they never saw menstruation products shown on film and TV growing up. That's why it was such a huge thing when it was in Turning Red. Children get terrified at the thought of periods happening, because they don't understand it. This helps take away the stigma. Edited June 30, 2022 by MrLovett
RockStarShit101 Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 people melting down over this but not about guns killing kids in school!
Heartbreak Prince Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Twitter has really went down the pan since the boomers found out how to work it.

BH6 target audience es 7-12 and teens. Considering most menstruating people will get their first period around 10-12 (with some cases having one as early as 8 years old) there are actually more kids in the target audience susceptible to experience periods than not, so I don’t understand why wouldn’t it be acceptable to include something that is a part of their lives. Also the premise of the show will be Baymax helping CotD on different issues they are having, giving one of those “proverbial lessons” we are used to see in kids show, so I guess this will just be a case in which they teach about menstruation.
DRod93 Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 I don't get why certain members are acting as if periods are inherently sexual? It's... just a part of growing up. If anything this would help men stop pretending that periods are the most disgusting and uncomfortable things to ever happen
Lovett Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 I've just watched the episode and it's done so well. This is going to be so educational for kids!

getBusy Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Why is everyone being so dramatic when 1) the word 'period' is simply mentioned without going into details - if a kid doesn't know what a period is, then they will move on with their life. Worst case scenario: "Mom/Dad what does period mean?" 2) the trans person doesn't say ANYTHING about their identity - unless you know the colors of the trans flag, you won't even question the gender of that character who's on screen talking for literally 2 seconds
UnusualBoy Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 I am so watching this. That meltdown over a shirt?
