And most of these awards haven't awarded other big names, such as Mariah (she only ever won Billboard one?), Britney Spears (only awarded by VMA) or Beyonce (BBMA or iHeartRadio)

 

if I google "icon" on their Wikipedia's awards and nominations list

Icon word appeared 22 times in Jennifer Lopez's wikipage

meanwhile Beyonce only has 5 and Mariah has 8

Yes, JLO is forever an icon. The others are also iconic but yes JLO is and always will be a legend as well.

sis, those awards are not from ATRL awards held every January

it's from MTV, Billboard, iHeartRadio, People magazine, etc.

Her full name (and her moniker) are more iconic than Mariah's, but Beyonce has also become a global superstar and household name also.

If Awards is all you are basing this on then Beyoncé is definitely more iconic than J-Lo considering she is the most awarded female artist of all time. Mariah has more awards than her as well.

JLO is nowhere near more iconic than Beyoncé and Mariah. You know it’s bad when someone tries to force a legacy for years and it’s still not there 

 

She’s a big celebrity but she is not respected like that

More than Mariah, yes. More than Beyoncé, I don't think so.

I don't think icon-status is defined by awards, but by...being iconic.

 

Musically, both Mariah and Beyoncé are probably at least 10x more iconic, if not 100x.

 

Visually? I guess Jennifer's Versace dress is more iconic a look than most of Mariah's and the sheer ubquity of the image may be more iconic than any one Beyoncé look, but she still has Single Ladies as a VERY enduring image of her, plus MANY other iconic moments that in totality far outweigh just that one dress.

 

Back to awards, is an iHeartRadio award really that prestigious lol? and if we are looking at the BBMAs, Beyoncé got their Millenium awards that has only been awarded to Whitney, Britney and Bey. I'm not sure which one is a greater honour, but my guess is it's all arbitrary and they just have different awards to make it seem more rare.

She is very iconic, but no.

I don't know about more iconic, but she's definitely more respected than what Twitter would want you to believe.
