Ooh.  This is actually a really interesting comparison.

Loud has incredible singles but like most Rihanna albums, the album tracks are pretty sub par

Lover has terrible singles, but like most Taylor albums, the album tracks are exceptional.

I think singles and imagery are necessary for a strong pop album so I give the edge to Rihanna.  That said, because Lover is the better album (imo), I think it will have the better legacy.

As an era, LOUD >>> Lover. Visuals and singles and performances were better.

But as an album, Lover > LOUD. LOUD's album tracks are pretty bad except Skin.

The fact that people are saying "Only the singles from loud" while its singles are more than half of the album.... :ace:

OT: Loud for everything by really far.

Lover sweetie…

Loud has zero longevity even the era become her 2nd biggest era for Rih.

and also Lover has more acclaimed than the other one.

however Loud has better single than Lover.

Loud era defined rihanna as a fillers artist whose life depended on writing camps.

Lover era solidified Taylor's foot as a singer songwriter

Lover for all.

Rihanna has never had a strong album or concept

The way neither of these make sense? Lover having some of the weakest lyrics Taylor has ever done and Loud having lots of single-worthy material. Just talking and speaking and making no sense at all hoping it sticks.

LOUD is just so iconic and just a stronger album overall. I enjoy ‘Lover’ but LOUD doesn’t have lows like ME!

Lover.

Terrible singles but great album tracks. Huge album sales, having much more longevity than LOUD.

And Loud outsold Lover by a lot so I guess it balances, so whatever Lover does in longevity Loud more than covers in album sales and singles success.

Loud being so bright & positive has so much more importance behind it considering the personal turmoil she had just pulled herself out of

It's also a better & more iconic era by far.

Loud for all. What an iconic pop album/era that was. Everybody loved that album.:clap3:People still do today.

Taylor’s Lover album isn’t beloved by all people like LOUD was when it debuted. Lover has ME! and YNTCD, those two alone drag it down.

Lover is a better album, but Loud takes better era and legacy

Lover has incredible album tracks such as Cruel Summer, The Archer, I Think He Knows, and Cornelia Street :gaylorcat1: while Loud has incredible singles such as Only Girl (in the World), What's My Name, and California King Bed :gaycat5: they both have strengths and weaknesses
