So sad to see Latin America self destroying like this little by little. The left is selling them smoke and corruption and the poor are eating it all up like candy.

Good luck with your AMLO era Colombia, we’ve been there.

Climate change and protection of the Amazon rainforest was one of Petro's main campaign points. The new vice president was a environmental activist herself. That is a fundamental difference with the extreme pro-oil/gas AMLO

The Right wing ATRLers here should realize that continuous American intervention and its sideeffects pushed South American countries into polarized extreme politics, with the pendulum now sliding to the left. Maybe they would stop this “self sabotage” if AmeriKkKa stops bothering them but NO

The radical left members in ATRL who actually live in capitalist societies and don't have to struggle and skip meals celebrating and giving other members lessons about politics :lmao:don't even know what they are talking about, socialism and communism does not work, didn't work and won't work, they create more poverty, oppression and misery than what they try to eradicate. I'm venezuelan I know what I'm talking about I had to escape my country to have a better life. The only 3 dictadorships or regimes in the region are far letf, Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela, and this man will align with them for sure. Feel sorry for Colombia, but this is what they wanted so coman MIERDA.

This man supported Maduro and sees Chavez as an example, besides he was a political advisor of the venezuelan government for a long time, and let's not forget he was part of a movement called M-19 where several crimes where committed and has links with the FARC.

Are you saying this doesn't happen in Colombia, a country that's never had a "socialist/communist" president? :dies:

They do, there's a lot of poverty and lack of opportunities in Latin America but in what proportion? You can not compare the hunger and suffering venezuelan people had and have to go through because of a failed state and wrong economical and social policies. For some reason there's almost 2.000.000 venezuelans in Colombia who scapped the Maduro's regime, becuase at least with a job and enough incomes they won't starve and won't have to see their childrens and family members suffer. You guys don't even uderstand how evil and corrupt the far left in latin america is (the ones who are in power), of course the latin american right is mediocre and insensitive so this is not about attacking one group to defend the other.

You guys literally have a deranged mental syndrome of some sort. This thread is about Colombia, ma'am :skull: The people of Colombia elected them. Many are celebrating the fact of having the 1st left president, because of clearly the corruption, and issues that came from having right wing ones. You literally foaming at the mouth at another country deciding to go in a different path, because what has come before has NOT ******* WORKED! A very simple concept to grasp. :skull:

It's also very interesting to me how these right wing Venezuelans are the most hardened supporters of keeping the US's sanctions on Venezuela. That quite literally kill 10's of thousands of people every year. Very peculiar!

Fascinating that they would rather keep the same type of people in power. The ones selling out their country's resources, which make a very small circle of people wealthy. While also creating poverty, and economic conditions so dire that people would rather choose to leave to a foreign country. Where they are still vilified, and used as cheap labor. The privilege of it all.

Shut the **** up, many people died thanks to the corrupt and evil Maduro's regime, not because of the sanctions, I'm talking from my OWN experience as a Venezuelan and someone who cares about Colombia who has a large venezuelan population who escaped from unbearable economic, social and medical conditions, don't start with the sanctions bullshit to justify a regime responsible for the dead of many of the citizens of my country. What I don't want is Colombia to go through want we went through that's all. But yes, he got elected and that was the decisition of the majority, and there's nothing we can do.

I'm very impress to see how cynical and inhumame latin american radical leftists can be in order to defend their ideas and positions, and forget about how many people in the region have suffered thanks to those ideas and policies in Cuba and Venezuela specifically.

Some of us venezuelans are against the RADICAL left because we know how bad and evil it can be when they radicalize in the exercise of power. I'm not a right wing because just like I stated, the right has been mediocre and totally disconnected from people's necessities, and the responsible for many of the social issues we have in the region, that's a reality I will not deny. But you don't fix a problem by creating another one and even bigger, what some of you lack is perspective, you are radicalized and indoctrinated and can not see beyond your marxist vision.

Not the V-word again :deadbanana2: Colombians were tired of DECADES of right wing corruption that have made the country poor and miserable

Comparing Maduro with Petro is literally apple to oranges. Venezuela is not even a real democracy anymore. Petro was democratically elected, what's not clicking?. Petro himself has called Maduro a dictator

Petro is closer politically to Brasil's Lula and to Ecuador's Correa than to Maduro

I'm just sorry to say if you refuse to see how your behavior is completely irrational, and deranged.  Again we are talking about Colombia. :skull: The man not associated to Maduro in any way.
