Why has this happened.

 

Edit: Just to compare to previous debut numbers:

Loki - 2.5M

Falcon and the Winter Soldier - 1.8M

Moon Knight - 1.8M

Wandavision - 1.6M

Hawkeye - 1.5M

Ms Marvel - 775k

It’s more a teen show, comic book bros are upset about MCU changing her powers and maybe some islamophobia. Just a few of my guesses

It's a very pretty show but none of the characters are likable apart from her female best friend.

Wanda and Hawkeye were based on characters from massive films.

 

Isn’t Ms Marvel essentially a new representation of the character?

also there's no obvious crossover with the movies yet

Its a cute show but it kinda does have a Disney channel/CW feel to it which is probably why people are not fawning over it.

Episode one was great. It didn’t have the intrigue of WandaVision but it was the most entertaining of any of the MCU Series I’ve watched

bby this doesn’t make sense, people didn’t tune in to the FIRST episode so they don’t know if it’s good or not. They had judgments before the show aired that made them not want to watch, so that user who guessed a few reasons is most likely correct.

Also I agree that Ms Marvel is basically a new character while Wanda and Hawkeye were already established before their series

I feel like She Hulk is gonna have the same fate. The main issue is that Disney is churring these out like hamster wheel.  I honestly thought they were gonna wait til August to debut it but coming out so soon after Moon Knight ( it literally ended a month before this  ) has hurt it. I'm also wondering if people are like me are waiting til the season is over to just binge it.

deserved disney+ shows have all been trash so far and people will eventually get tired

i was a big mcu fan and after the back to back disappointment from falcon to moon knight i won't be checking out any more of their shows

Wanda and Hawkeye were both in actual movies though. Nobody knows who this is, of course it’s not going to do the same numbers
