The writers wrote this and planned to bring back the old Charmed ones BUT they planned to ask the actors after getting renewed (they didn't) :dies: They'd obviously say no so I can't even imagine what they would write :rip:

TVLINE | Was the season always going to end this way, or did you do this because you knew weren’t coming back?
FALCO | We wrote and shot this episode before we knew the show was going to end. We knew for months that there was a 50/50 chance of us getting canceled, so we wanted to end on something that could move forward but could also be a satisfying conclusion. We wanted to eventually tie these universes together. We were going to do it in a much bigger, crazier way at a certain point, but since we knew there was a chance we were getting canceled, this was the sweet spot where we felt like we got to do what we’ve always wanted to do — make it a Charmed multiverse — but also end in a way that’s hopeful and satisfying and wraps up everyone’s emotions.

TVLINE | That’s a heck of a set-up. What would you have done if the show had gotten renewed?
LIEBER | We were looking to start next season with the universes knit together, and then we would have seen [which cast members were] around and amenable. We would have, in the first five minutes of Season 5, dealt with how those universes were knit and then would have moved back into our world again. What was really important to us this season was to create something large and stable. We kept going back to what the Spider-Man franchise did. We wanted there to be one world everyone could exist in.
FALCO | We certainly had a plan for where Season 5 was going. There were going to be phone calls made about which cast members are available and who’s willing to do it. We had a very flexible plan based on [those logistics], but we never had those conversations because we weren’t going to have them until we got a pick-up. So we’ll never know who may or may not have made an appearance.

Kiing these same a people who trashed the original to get this new show going, if they had just spoken respectfully of the og charmed I would've watched, now they're gone after just 72 episodes not even half the original charmed  :giraffe:

Cute, although the inside of the house is not the same

Even though I didn’t watch the reboot, it’s so shitty how networks can let shows go on for 4 seasons and then just cancel them without letting the writers give proper closure.

Alyssa would've been the only one to accept,

The network actually warned all shows to prepare a finale as a series finale beforehand just in case which is kinda what Charmed did for a cancelled show this ending actually worked.

Oh well that’s good then. At least they all got warned. I thought it sounded off for The CW as they let shows like Nikita and iZombie have proper wrap-ups in the past.

This season had different showrunners to be fair.

I don't think so. They'd pay her pennies cause this show had $5 budget and she knows the OG fans would not be here for it.

It honestly sounds like they knew the odds were more like 70/30 for cancelation so they just went with it nn.

different from later seasons where they had the open hallway, similar to early seasons tho

That house is the definition of iconic, instantly recognizable

Yeah I was just confused cause like when they opened the door it looked super empty which wasn’t really what it looked like, or how I rememb

it's actually the network which promoted the new show as improved and tbh they didn't really lie

the OG is very dated in its views in which women need to find men to have their happy ending, not even talking about the lack of any LGBTQ+ main characters or even small ones (and it's not an issue of the time, Buffy and Willow exist) and the latter seasons was a festival of which sister will get hte most naked in the most absurd storyline

It would have been cool to see the 5th season with the old Charmed ones maybe popping in or even Wyatt/Chris?

but knowing the actresses, they would have been bitter and said no

Came to say this and to laugh. The show got cancelled :ahh: FINALLY. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

It would’ve been funny to see Piper freak out, freeze them, and Prue using telekinesis to kick them out of the house :fan:

I might be wrong but I think they used the actual house in Los Angeles here instead of the set in the original charmed.

Didn't watch this, but I heard from someone else that they filmed in the actual house, as opposed to OG Charmed where the interior was a set.

They filmed inside the real house in the unaired Charmed pilot too.

There are people living there now. If it's true I guess the producers rented it out.

I don't watch this show but and? Ooh the halliwell house :juanny:

So tasteless. Trying to ruin the OG Charmed's legacy by shoehorning the manor in a failed reboot

Yeah that was never ever gonna happen they just want their show to be remembered for something :rip:

I don’t think a Charmed “multiverse” would work, there’s no way they’d cheapen the original to try and save this sinking ship. It’s like 10 years too late anyway they hate each other again

Ok? What does that have to do with the quality of either show though?

Charmed wasn’t really trying to be groundbreaking or controversial. Buffy was more progressive and there was definitely a lot of resistance to Willow’s storyline. Charmed wasn’t exactly offensive though either. And that’s pretty representative of society from 1998-2006, people weren’t all that gay (openly) back then as they are now :rip:

Thank god this dumpster fire is finally cancelled.

Charmed OG was fine for children I guess but looking back on it it was really badly written and acted. Minus the first three seasons.
