Kingpin Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 I get that LoU is one of PlayStation’s signature IP so they probably want it to be presented in the best way possible but this probably means they’re releasing a PS5 version of LoU2 probably bundled with factions and this remake next year. I say I won’t get it but I probably will. I wish ND made a new game with different characters like seeing it spread into the UK/Europe or Australia or something. But watch them make a story for the family they left for dead and you end up foraging at Joel’s house

There's no exclusive games like that anymore. Not even MS is doing that. Not with the way production costs are doubling with each generation. Imagine releasing a game that costs over 150M dollars to 20M users only It makes no sense that in 2022 that's happening. Also the PS4 at this point had gotten only Bloodborne. Thus gen is getting way more stuff already Edited June 11, 2022 by tiagol88

The incels are seething across the internet lmao because she looks older. So funny. I'm so hyped for this. I know they are saving some gameplay surprises for sure. Its gonna be awesome.

I was kind of taken back how they made Marlene all old and haggard in Part II, but I prefer the more ageing look now seeing the comparison with Tess. I think we've seen pretty much every big character now in the remake apart from Sam and Henry - we saw the back of Sarah in trailer lol.
BNF91 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Uh so.. finally a new trailer was released after some leaks 2 days ago. Tbh I'm kinda less hyped now? I don't think I'll be buying at full price, that's for sure. I don't know how Sony and Naughty Dog think they can charge $70 ($90 for me in Canada) for nothing more than a visual upgrade (that is only very, VERY slightly better than last gen TLOU2, and this is supposed to be a from the ground up remake for the PS5 only) I don't feel like the gameplay features added are worthy of what is essentially the same price as true full new games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok. I'm a mega fan and I'm really disappointed. Doesn't seem to be going well over the internet either.
P!nk Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I think everyone can appreciate that there has been some hard work that has gone into this and no one is doubting that. However, to charge £70 for this is a complete cash grab, it is far too overpriced for what it is.

Now, if they released Factions 2, that I would pay for.
The Last of Us Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 The price tag is ridiculous but I just can’t wait to get my hands on this. I’m assuming that they’ll do the PS5 upgrade for Part II next year and then the multiplayer will follow. Between this and the HBO show, it’s a great time to be a TLOU fan. ?
Cottonmouth Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 I don't care about the price, I can't wait to get my hands on it in September. I've been holding out on my second playthrough of Part II, just for this. If anything, this remake shows how much the original still holds up today.
BNF91 Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Im caving lol. This looks graphically insane. Getting over the lack of gameplay updates, im playing this day one lmao This looks like live action at moments
ExtraChapstick Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I've seen so many calling this a "cash grab," yet they'll literally spend hundreds of dollars on gacha games or endless amounts of cosmetic items. I'm ready to relive one of my favorite games of all time in 4K. Time to control Joel with the full DualSense experience.
Diesel Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Can’t wait for my upcoming back to back TLOU Part I & II play next week
Cottonmouth Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Anyone started Part I yet? Was going to purchase mine online tonight - although I'm a bit disappointed that they haven't changed much gameplay wise - I'm hoping it still plays well even if the original still holds up. It seems like a huge missed opportunity, especially when their biggest selling point of the game is that they've rebuilt it from the ground up.
P!nk Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Great game but I refuse to support this at £70. For those that have never played it before though, I think it’s not a bad shout.

They should've done what they did with the Uncharted 4 remasters, where you only had to pay a much smaller price ($10/£10) if you already had the PS4 version.
superchaz Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 It’s crazy how people say it’s a cash grab when Nintendo tend to just remaster their previous games for the switch with no discounts offered and people don’t complain about that
BNF91 Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Playing in 4k/40 mode with VRR.. It looks insane. Better than TLOU2. Not just the characters, but the textures, lighting, shadows and physics of everything is better. Water looks wild. Graphically it really does look next gen. It's a a remake through and through. I've taken some bonkers photos of Joel, photorealistic at times. But gameplay wise, after spending so much time with TLOU2, it feels slightly clunky sometimes with melee. Gunplay is great and feels much better. But the lack of dodge really disappoints. Naughty Dog really should have added just that. I stopped caring about the price so i just got it. But if youve already played Remastered, you could hold off until a discount if you have issues woth the launch price. Im having fun with it and i think it might take the crown from Horizon Forbidden West for best looking PS5 game. (granted at this point, all these games are like 10/10 graphically now)
DoctorIce Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Love TLOU but I hope they lose money on this. The audacity to re-release the original for a second time, at full price and with no multiplayer and minimal gameplay upgrades. Are we supposed to be enticed by another mere fresh lick of paint and the option to play with a range of Instagram'd filters? Naughty Fad are supposed to be this lauded and acclaimed studio and yet they haven't released an original IP since the days of Playstation 3, how boring.
