Because gay parents sometimes end up having children. Why are you confused?

Why wouldn’t they? Is it meaningfully different than bringing their kids to a musical or something? I went to drag brunch recently and they literally just dressed up in their costumes and lip synced with pop songs.

Do children not like dancing and pop songs?

It was an event marked as children friendly - as in drag queens were told to do nothing with adult-humor - and done during the daytime, no different than the daytime brunch drag shows often down in outside venues, all so parents who are in the neighborhood for Pride events who bring their kids can still have things to do? Are you similarly mad when bars cater to parents for events centered around bars like St. Patrick's Day?

Half of those locations are wineries and bars promoting that they have children-friendly activities so their parents can come to their establishment and get ****-faced without worrying their kid is bored? :toofunny3:

If you think drag is inherently sexual, I assume you think RPDR should have a TV-MA rating and air after midnight?

Kids should not be at a drug show unless the humor is age appropriate. That’s weird, get a babysitter like a normal adult.

Also, nobody even wants your ugly ass children there

Why would you assume it was not?

This is weird. Of course LGBT people would dislike a slur meant to degrade LGBT people. :skull:

Do you think you'd be making a point going "the popularization of the word 'f*gg*t' has OP shook"?

Do you not find the word f***** to be upsetting? :deadbanana4:

Maybe you and the mods need a talk re: this edge persona.

I agree with you both. Children should not be able to go to a drag show. It is NOT the same as going to a :rip: musical.

What type of lies! I am a huge drag show fan & drag queens are known for sexual References & straight up dancing sexually on ppl. It’s so much fun but might be too much for anyone under 15.

Drag Queens are adult entertainers for gay men. They perform at gay clubs at night for gay men. It is very weird that people want to push that towards kid’s with daytime stories.

Parents have every right to protest :clap3:

if you really wanna protect your kids go protest in front of the NRA because you don't wanna your kids to be gunned down.

Exactly! These brunch shows are fun and cute! Kids love them and they’re pg.

Do straight people have the right to follow gay men down the street and call them pedophiles? :skull:

To follow two lesbian parents with their child and tell them they're going to hell?

This is why conservatism and being a sexual minority are diametrically opposed.

The people who you're defending think your sexuality makes you pre-dispositioned to 1) go to hell and 2) **** kids.

Have some self-respect. :deadbanana4:

I mean there are adult oriented drag shows, but that isn’t the default by any means. There’s nothing about them that is inherently inappropriate for kids unless you consider simply the act of being in drag inappropriate.

It's kind of wild to see users ITT pretend that a drag show in daylight is akin to like, being in a strip club at 2 AM :deadbanana2:

None of these kids are um...performing drag themselves, in which case most bars/gatherings would require every participant being 18+ (I presume).

Taking your kids to watch what is essentially a dance/lipsync show is something straight parents do all the damn time :skull: Some of y'all don't even try anymore.

It was advertised as a family friendly event and there’s nothing inherently inappropriate about drag. Some shows are more adult which is why those would those attendees would have to be adults.
