Do you speak a non-Indo-European language?

As you know, the Indo-European people migrated and spread all over Eurasia.

Many peoples and languages descend from this migration event.

But do you speak a language that does not descend from this one language?

Only Indo-European languages.

Though I'd love to learn a non-IE language in my lifetime. Something Finno-Ugric maybe

Yes, but that's because my parents were born and raised in Cameroon. Most Africans still speak their tribal languages.

So yes, the family is Bantu (ancestrally from East Africa), which is spoken throughout most of Western and Central Africa.

I also speak Pidgin English, which is a broken English dialect spoken throughout most of West/Central Africa in different forms. To those of us raised around it, it's pretty easy to pick out the English in it, to Americans and British people though, it probably sounds like a completely different language. Even though I usually sound like your typical West Hollywood gay :toofunny3:, when I speak it I immediately fall into an accent, you'd think I just got here from Lagos, it's the versatility for me :foxaylove3:

I tried learning Japanese a lot time ago but stopped because I had no one to practice with. So, nope. I only speak IE languages.
