"Somehow palpatine has returned" Space horses on top of the star destroyer Star destroyers can't tell up from down "I am all the Jedi" Rey was in the perfect spot for the dagger to line up with the Death Star Finn's entire character being chiseled down to screaming about how he has to tell Rey something but never does Truly disturbing film

Even the hard hitters like A Serbian Film and Salo are way too over the top for me to find scary (although both are disgusting) I just watched The House That Jack Built and whew, a movie hasn't disturbed me like that in years. The scene with the mom and her kids on the picnic scarred So what's the most disturbing movie you've ever seen? now why did i just look that up omfg that was so horrible
JoeAg Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 honestly probably Deliverance for me it’s technically such an incredible movie, but holy f*ck is it nightmarish

jakeisphat Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 (edited) I don’t really get disturbed by horror movies anymore because I’ve seen so many. I think I’m more disturbed by depressing material. So I’d have to say Blindness. That film was so ****** up - especially when Spoiler the woman is beaten to death while being raped . And Precious is pretty disturbing too, considering Monique Spoiler tosses a newborn baby and accounts watching her husband rape her 3-year-old daughter . Edited June 1, 2022 by jakeisphat
GrandeVersace Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Dead silence... The music is compelling and the overall atmosphere is haunting.
JoeAg Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Human Centipede is of course horrific too, so it gets runner-up for me^ but for some reason the psychological disturbs me more than gore so Deliverance freaks me out long term more

I didn't find it scary per se but very very disturbing and unsettling. Also, and this is not a horror film but a just disturbing film all around, Kids (1995)
alejandreaux Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Hereditary - legit the scariest/most disturbing movie I’ve ever seen in my life. ghost/demons have always been my biggest fear overall, and the approach this movie in particular takes with that theme is so realistic in such an unexpected way. the ending made me feel like a curse was being put on me irl or something Requiem for a Dream - not necessarily scary at all but it’s the only movie I’ve seen that matched Hereditary in how disturbing it is. it’s just so thoroughly depressing and unsettling and strange. the only movie I’ve watched where it felt like a piece of me died at the end of it, like the light inside me literally dimmed a bit at the end of that movie
Taylucifer Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 (edited) that movie where old men and women torture, rape ,and use children for pleasure i forgot the name (tho the acting in some scenes made me laugh) Edited June 1, 2022 by Taylucifer
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Irreversible - Obvious reasons, especially as a woman Cannibal Holocaust - Besides the real animal cruelty, the whole story line is very disturbing Martyrs - Existential disturbance Human Centipede is so disgusting, but not that disturbing. I think it's kinda goofy that they have ass to mouth the whole movie
UnusualBoy Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 A Serbian Film, disturbing as **** And there's this movie with gay thematic called Jacob, I think? what happened to one of the guys left me spechless, especially as the movie kept going.
popmusicisdead Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 i've seen every film in every disturbing film list ever, even those Japanese documentaries with actual death. but no movie has ever put a bad taste in my mouth quite like Tusk. the fact that's a Kevin Smith comedy too

enchanted0 Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 It's def not the MOST disturbing movie i've ever seen but recently I watched Girl (2018) and I couldn't even finished it since it was so painful to watch, the main character faces ENDLESS hardships in the movie I just couldn't bear it
