Jagger Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 I'm a horror junkie so I've seen my fair share of gruesome films. Very few actually scare me anymore. Even the hard hitters like A Serbian Film and Salo are way too over the top for me to find scary (although both are disgusting) I just watched The House That Jack Built and whew, a movie hasn't disturbed me like that in years. The scene with the mom and her kids on the picnic scarred So what's the most disturbing movie you've ever seen?
lachiqui_klk Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 dancer in the dark isn’t visually disturbing but it definitely affected me A LOT mentally. i had trouble sleeping after i saw it lol the story is so depressing and also the way they recorded it… it made me feel like all hope was gone, a pretty tough film jf you ask me
Power love Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 I actually think the hostels films are scary. It’s sad we won’t get a 3rd one.
James_Dean Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Funny Games (2007) was psychologically disturbing once I understood it. Antichrist (2009) has some disturbing scenes, but the film is very long to sit through. Idk... it's very rare for me to find good horror/ disturbing films, because they usually end up being corny
Pendulum Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Lilja 4-Ever, which is also one of my favourite movies. Highly recommend if you can stomach certain unsettling scenes. The disturbing element comes from the fact that it was based on a true story, and human and child trafficking is something that is happening as we speak. Definitely one of those movies that stay in your mind for days.
Pendulum Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 please.. movies like A Serbian Film and Salo rely solely on the shock factor and don't have any substantial disturbing storyline
Freakshowvato Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 This horror psychological thriller movie featuring Brenda Song idk what it’s called tho
AccioMiley Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Y'all are gonna laugh but...Spring Breakers made me wanna go to church. I hate church

Jagger Posted June 1, 2022 Author Posted June 1, 2022 also has anyone ever seen August Underground? It's banned in most places and I can never find it anywhere lol The plot summary is disturbing but just seems to be a gore fest with little plot also stream August Underground by Ethel Cain
superchaz Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Martyrs (the original), inside (the original), switchblade romance. The French sure know how to make good horrors. Also not disturbing but really good is Angela’s eyes. A Serbian film tops it though, and although not that scary but the bread cutter scene in Fear Street 1984 stayed with me for a few weeks
