It's a shame the reviews are horrendous, but I'm still excited to watch on Sunday.

I watched it last night. The story was alright, but I was hoping to bawl. It's just a feel-good movie, but man the visual effects are horrendous!

 

And I've never watched the original so have no idea but is it really part of the original story that Pinocchio can outswim a giant whale? I mean

This could have easily been directed by Tim Burton with the creepy puppeteer and boys turning into donkeys and all that **** but Disney decided to burn money yet again with a mediocre take nobody asked for.
