Gorjesspazze9 Posted May 24, 2022 Author Posted May 24, 2022 The film looks campy like Ragnorok, but Christian Bale looks super Dark also Tessa Thompson and Natalie look so fine Don't even get me started on Thor. VFX still could use some work, but looks fun.
Cheers Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 The CGI looks terrible.. this looks so bad Chris Hemsworth body tho.. DAMN
Da Vinci Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 It's a skip for me Call me when the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are here

The effects still aren't good enough to be replacing actual location filming. It looks bad 80% of the time and I hate watching it. Skip! Only here for a Rita cameo.
MAKSIM Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 This CGI is a mess. He looks superimposed into a greenscreen background in every shot
Ferst Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 It looks like a mindless, fun, inoffensive movie. I might watch it on opening weekend and never again just like most MCU movies.

It feels like Ragnarok 2.0 with more comedy, pop-up colors and silly stuff, I’ll guess I’ll watch it but not going crazy about it, hopefully they do right Natalie.
TheLastChord Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 When did Disney/MCU decide to start investing less into their VFX budget but also make their movies MORE cgi heavy? Kevin, this looks like a MESS.

Ibrahim Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 This looks fun. Taika really invigorated this character and some of those shots look amazing. Ragnarok was an incredible juxtaposition between immigration commentary hidden underneath hilariously masterful improv. The comments about CGI and greenscreen are so tired. Marvel worked their way up from fairly minimal, baseline comic ideas and earned their ticket to do these fantastical, out-of-this world, bizarre comic-book concepts. At some point, there's just going to be so much CGI to render these ideas, it would be financially unfeasible to recreate entirely new assets for every new world/movie/character in a realistic fashion while covid is still a thing. Like it or not, there's a larger narrative they're serving, which is exactly why the MCU became the biggest collective franchise in movie history. They're going to prioritize the timeline to propel that until it no longer drives people to theaters. Admittedly, though, Dr. Strange had some janky-ass animation when Gargantos was grabbing Wong and Strange and when Wanda was contorting through the mirror. That shot at the end -- she was already eying Thor before the disrobe. I love this shot.
mystery Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 There are some shots in the trailer that I really loved, looking forward to this movie even though my opinion on the MCU soured a bit lately. It looks fun.
Lovett Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 This honestly looks like a really fun watch. People will always complain, so who cares. Just enjoy it.
