This movie caved in on itself after the plot twist. It didn't know where to turn after that, even though that was supposed to be the stepping stone for this movie to dial it all the way up. Wasn't much of a murder mystery. I was actually enjoying this one more than the first movie despite the constant and tedious mentions and references to the pandemic, and Daniel Craig was certainly a lot better in this movie than in the first one. Kate was good and Janelle had a nice, meaty role which is kinda rare to see.

But the glass statues scene at the end was...I don't know what it was.

I preferred this to the first movie to be honest. Janelle slayed her role.

The way I’m screaming at everyone doing the puzzles for the invitation card and Miss Monae just smashed it:bibliahh:

Janelle was amazing

I liked it :skull:

Bit surprised at the comments here... it's not a bad film... a few of the side characters were pointless but it was still good.

this was a paint by the numbers movie, it's decent but a let down

I found it much more entertaining than the first one, everything seemed a little more exaggerated but it made it more fun and I feel that's what the first one lacked for me. All of them did a great job imo. The critiques in here are a little puzzling and could do with some expanding however it's really not that deep...

The first one was a better murder mystery, but this one was fun, too!!  I haven't had a chance to (re-)watch it on Netflix yet, but I can't imagine the experience will be much better than watching it at a movie theater like I was lucky enough to be able to do.

QUEENelle and Kate slayed and deserve whatever awards show buzz they get :clap3:

the last scene with the glass was laughably stupid .. janelle did what she had to do with such shitty script and gay craig were def standouts

what a contrived cringefest :dies:

I found both the first one and this one to be overhyped. They were ok, entertaining enough, but nothing out of the ordinary. The first one was definitely better, this one felt very forced with the whole billionaire's private island, the other one felt more grounded and definitely not as cringe, it tried to be camp but it just felt flat because there wasn't really anything funny and it was too on the nose.

Enjoyable movie with a good cast but I really didn’t expect the ending to be so disneyfied…. I guess you would chalk it up to being a risk that didn’t 100% pay off.

Decent movie, bit too on the nose and the ending wasn't as satisfying as the first for me though.

This was so good. Janelle ate. :clap3: Loved it as much as the first.

that was Janelle Monae? Like she's really so talented what :jonny5:

it's very entertaining, somehow the twist is not as entertaining/smart as the first one though, but very fun nevertheless. Daniel is superb as in the 1st one but I like the cast in the 1st movie a bit more

This one was very boring and small scope. I did think the acting was good..crime needed another twist tho

Movie is ok. First one is definitely better. Janelle stole the spotlight

it was very cute but the first outsold

daniel craig and edward norton are so hot :clap3: I'll watch the 1st one as well

Loved it. :clap3: I'm sad this wasn't played in theaters tho, it would've been great viewing experience; not to sound boomer'd but being on streaming kinda cheapens it ngl :sorry:

The Janelle praise :rip: She sticks like a sore thumb to me, her acting is so rigid and kind of uncomfortable to watch, I don't think she's a good actress at all and the part with the southern accent was awful
