MonsterNavy Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 this was such a fun watch with the family tbh
kandicha Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 i thought the set up was good, as were the performances (especially Janelle Monáe and Kate Hudson), but the one thing that needed more work was the script. it was too on-the-nose for me. still excited to know there will be a 3rd knives out.
Elusive Chanteuse Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 I feel like I'm missing something because I don't get the hype with either of these movies. I liked both but I see people on twitter rewatching them and stuff
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 This is just soooo good Even though i already knew who the villain was when the switched up at the 2nd half of the movie, but it still got me engaged with the storyline I prefer Glass Onion over Knives Out for now since the film still stuck with me until this, even though I watched both movies back-to-back yesterday This is kinda a spoiler Spoiler I love how gay Benoit Blanc is in this movie. Like i don't know how to describe it but i just feel it you know, especially when he teaming up with Andi's twin sister to take down Miles Bron I want more of them in the 3rd movie! Also Hugh Grant as his boyfriend/husband? He deserves better than that i fear
killer_rose Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 The movie was so...mediocre for some reason. The plot took way too long to become engaging, setting was gorgeous, some of the characters were completely irrelevant. Kate Hudson and Janelle Monáe absolutely slayed tho. The first movie remains superior.
katara Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Ok this was too straight-forward for my taste. Expected something more layered judging by the theme of the glass onion. The first movie was way more complex. Also most of the characters felt unneeded and didn't contribute anything? If you think about it only 3 charaters were relevant.
Innocencelost Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 This is one of the worst films I’ve ever seen and I can’t believe anyone with a pinch of taste and film culture could enjoy this pretentious, contrived, badly acted, over the top waste of budget garbage fire.

You spilled. It was absolutely horrid. Some people are in major denial. The 5 minute glass statue breaking scene at the end cemented this films status as a Netflix film.

Watch people realize in a couple months and hop off the bandwagon.
Roman Holiday Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 It’s not that deep. I think most people just view this franchise as cozy whodunnits meant to put on during the holidays.

YIKES. Janelle Monae tried her hardest and did not deserve that! @Reverse Warholian @The Witch The first hour was not needed, the ending kinda sucked but Whiskey and Janelle SERVED
fridayteenage Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 interesting. ben shapiro is trending on twitter b/c he had a meltdown over not liking the movie. hope the haters here know they're on his side.

You're entitled to your opinion but what makes you think the movie was pretentious?
Zerocoke Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 I thought it was incredibly entertaining. I had a lot of fun and the performances were good too. Very CAMP. That said, I don't get the acclaim. Yes it's a cute fun whoduunit ride. No it's not an incredibly witty, superbly written, amazingly acted or visually dazzling movie that deserves to join the awards conversation. The first one was better, but this one is still great fun. 7/10
Haus-Of_Mck Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 The movie was fun and entertaining, enjoyed it a lot. Kate slayed the unnecessary trash talk of those who didn't like it to other members

tost1 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Just watched it, its a cringefest, the first one was much better even tho that wasn't a masterpiece either
Bloodflowers. Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 I prefer first one, this had me bored during some parts but my god did Ms. Monae EAT with her role! Give her an Oscar nomination
flower moon Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 always thought the first was overhyped but I thought this was pretty entertaining. daniel craig and janelle monáe were great together.
Oktober Knight Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 The first film was eons better because of all the twists and turns. The reveal in this one was way too basic and not surprising tbh. However the acting was superb.
