Desire Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Nnnn not when I finally got around to watching all the current seasons a couple months back
Euterpe Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 My mom is very upset about this news. She loves this show.
Exodus Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Ugh honestly this show way outlived my expectations with the revolving door of Crystal's and Alexis' (and Steven's disappearing act) but Fallon really carried the show and I really hope Liz Gillies gets another iconic role elsewhere. I'm also sad we're losing another show set in ATL. It was fun seeing all the shooting locations around here!

Johnny Jacobs Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 I heard there's a change netflix will pick it up cause its successful there.. Slim chance tho
Taylucifer Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 love this show but i stopped halfway through last season

Maybe cause it was on Sunday idk lol the cw doesn't care about ratings since years ago lol Nancy Drew probably also has awful ratings but its good Edited May 13, 2022 by Insanity

KevinDG Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Thank god.. They butchered the shows for the last two seasons. I couldn't even finish season 4 but kept it with some of the storylines trough Youtube and it's just keeps getting worse...

Hallad173 Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 They deserve it for all those god awful musical episodes. Ruined the show with that

Smarticle Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 https://deadline.com/2022/05/the-cw-cancellations-upfront-2022-transitional-year-ownership-change-1235022928/ Quote Financial considerations by studios led to the cancellation of several series, which Pedowitz probably would’ve kept on the air longer, including Legends of Tomorrow, which deserved a proper sendoff after seven seasons, Legacies, which has a devoted fan following, and In the Dark, which has been among the CW’s highest quality series. I hear the CW was willing to renew those shows but the studios behind them were not for business reasons as they try keep their slates profitable. smh Legends and Legacies could've stayed
dirrtydiana Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 5 seasons is great nowadays. Actually it’s great in general. BECOME THE MPG WE NEED LIZ

Thats probably why this show was cancelled, it looks really well made

DatChickDoe Posted May 16, 2022 Posted May 16, 2022 CW is being sold to Nexstar. Renewing a show hitting 0.0 in the demo would have a financial impact on the sale. Even for the CW, less than 200,000 people watching wont even cover the cost of airing the episodes. Streaming internationally for the series has also declined. Most series contracts cover up to 5 seasons. A renewal would have meant negotiations and likely additional costs because the actors would likely have tried to negotiate more. At the end of the day something makes $$$ or it doesn’t. Building an audience off a show bleeding viewers isn’t realistic. I will definitely miss the show. The entertainment business is just cutthroat
