Disney themselves even said so.? it’s fans overinflated expectations, not the actual studios Edited May 22, 2022 by Gorjesspazze9
Sweetestsecret Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 $804M on box office.. $900M next week (?) .. the biggest movie of the year!
ALA Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 If this ends up finishing around $950m then it would have had a multiplier of 2.11 from it's WW opening. Yeesh. Those legs would be similar to another film MCU stans use as a drag at every turn
XAMJ Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 A solid 50% drop this week, and considering how divisive opinions are for this film I say ending its run with 950m WW is a win
Jude Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 If you say this movie flopped you're brainless. OT: ahhhhh 800M$, the red witch did that.
Ibrahim Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 (edited) It's crazy how Marvel changed the game for their own franchises. Normally, MOM would have been compared to DS1, so these are amazing numbers when compared to its base movie. And a lot of other movies still operate under the traditional model for financial relativity to its own sequel. But the connection to the larger MCU narrative injects so much goodwill from the public that they come out for practically any property that's related to the core MCU experience. Not bad numbers at all. Edited May 27, 2022 by Ibrahim

Gorjesspazze9 Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Multiverse of Madness has Surpassed $868 Million before it’s 4th weekend. Biggest Grossing film of 2022, Domestically and Internationally. After tomorrow’s numbers it will be in the 900M range in under a Month of release?where are those calling this a flop for not hitting a Billion in 2 weeks??
Broken Posted May 30, 2022 Author Posted May 30, 2022 Biggest movie of the year domestically AND worldwide. It's time to announce the Scarlet Witch solo movie @KevinFeige
Pink Ranger Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 I don’t think this will gross 1B with it heading to streaming in 3 weeks but high 900s is by no means a flop and anyone who says otherwise is pure delusional
X~MoviePoP Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Itll end with 920-955 like i said. Still this should of easily reached 1 billion. It was not a good movie, it was mid. Wanda was the best part. The writing was horrible, story fell flat at the end and pointless, cgi was mediocre. Saw it twice and wish i didnt.
Hephaestus Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Scarlet Witch in the Multiverse of Madness did that
Roberto Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 I really thought this was going to touch 1B easily. I guess the bad propaganda against Wanda kinda paid off. So sad they can't handle a woman being this bad-ass.
Da Vinci Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 I think it puts into perspective at how impressive Captain Marvel's box office numbers were Given it was pre-pandemic but people already hated Brie Larson at the time, way more than the current "hate" for Wanda It was a pure origin story, no other Avengers, no cameo hype Let's not act as if everyone wasn't saying a billion was an easy feat for "Wanda in the Multiverse of Madness" especially during the peak of the cameo rumors and "LEAKS" by """insiders""" Page 2 of this very thread alone lmao
Iceland Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Went to the cinema for the third time come through Wanda

Everyone knew this. An MOM already surpass the expectations. China alone would give this no less then 100 Million no matter how you flip it. Also Russia. That would make this surpass 1 Billion. Let’s not act like China’s numbers wouldn’t have made this pass the B mark. Edited May 30, 2022 by Gorjesspazze9
