I'd say that NFL stadiums mixed with baseball ones.

ALittleGauche
Male artists like Ed can just tour and make money endlessly because all they have to do is sit there and play the guitar and sing. It’s still an impressive set of skills, but female pop artists have to do choreo and big productions which can be tiring and not sustainable long-term. The misogyny of it all. BnPac
The fact that there's a possibility for him to do 1.7B just from two tours.

Female pop stars don’t have to do all that. Whitney and Tina sure didn’t and slayed box offices. Most choose to because that big vision. they are doing the same thing working the crowd except one doesn’t have lipsynch to pre-recorded tracks and a lazy two step to entertain it takes stamina and endurance to perform on stage and play instruments like that for hours and no one is doing tours like Ed cause they do want to be on the road as long and do as many shows cause it takes a toll. That and he is success driven to an almost unhealthy degree

Ed doesn't sit there and play guitar at his concerts, there is no stool or chair on stage, and he actually gets to move and jump around most a lot of the time, even when operating his loop station, plus the instrumentals, his main & backing vocals are live, not pre-recorded backing tracks. Touring the world is still tiring with 2 hour shows, flying and different time zones, plus still writing and recording songs for himself and other artists, along other activities required while touring, plus spending time with his daughters whenever he can
