Hector Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I really hope this is good. This could go either way.
NavyBlue Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 (edited) Oh God, Santa Maria, whoever I need to pray to…let this be good or at least decent. Daddy Tucci and Tamara Tunie do give me hope. But, I’m nervous the director has some good credits. The CJ Walker biopic and Harriett movie. So there’s that. Edited April 25, 2022 by NavyBlue

Antisocialites Posted April 25, 2022 Author Posted April 25, 2022 btw, every film written by the screenwriter has been an Oscar contender and 3 of 4 of the respective leading actors got the award (Redmayne, Oldman and Malek): - The Theory of Everything (5 noms including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay, 1 win) - Darkest Hour (6 noms including Best Picture, 2 wins) - Bohemian Rhapsody (5 noms including Best Picture, 4 wins) - The Two Popes (3 noms including Best Adapted Screenplay) He has a good track record with the AMPAS!

Fastlane Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I hope it will be like The Eyes of Tammy Brown, a film of multiple decades and layers. Not some 1982–1986 biopic plot. I need a real drama.

Oxy Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I like all the casting except for Naomi, she’s an odd beauty but not the level of Whitney’s back in the day. But hope her skills is up to par.
Bloodflowers. Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 They better serve justice for the "One of Those Days" hitmaker

CosTaSsSs Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Usually these type of movies get dragged or completely unnoticed.
livelikemusic Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Poster is a bit... basic? And, not going to lie, but Yaya DaCosta was a pretty good Whitney.
